El Departamento de Ingenier\u00eda Civil en Metal\u00fargica recibi\u00f3 este a\u00f1o a un nuevo acad\u00e9mico dentro de su planta docente, Gonzalo Nelis Suzo. En este espacio le damos la m\u00e1s cordial bienvenida a la Facultad de Ingenier\u00eda y contaremos brevemente acerca de su historia acad\u00e9mica y personal.<\/p>\n

Gonzalo estudi\u00f3 Ingenier\u00eda Civil de Minas en la Universidad de Chile, carrera de la que egres\u00f3 el a\u00f1o 2014. Posteriormente, realiz\u00f3 un Mag\u00edster en Miner\u00eda y un Doctorado en Ingenier\u00eda de Minas, ambos en la Universidad de Chile.<\/p>\n

Dentro de sus \u00e1reas de investigaci\u00f3n se encuentran: Planificaci\u00f3n Minera, Incertidumbre Geol\u00f3gica y Geometalurgia.<\/p>\n

En marzo de este a\u00f1o, comenz\u00f3 a impartir las clases de Introducci\u00f3n a la Ingenier\u00eda de Minas, en primer a\u00f1o, y Planificaci\u00f3n Minera en cuarto a\u00f1o.<\/p>\n

En cuanto a sus intereses personales, comenta \u201cno me llamaba la atenci\u00f3n el trabajo en terreno, pero si el mundo acad\u00e9mico, ense\u00f1ar, hacer clases, por eso decid\u00ed seguir estudiando e investigando despu\u00e9s de egresar\u201d.<\/p>\n

Termin\u00f3 su doctorado el a\u00f1o pasado y al poco tiempo ya estaba contratado como docente para la FI UdeC. Debido a la situaci\u00f3n sanitaria, solo ha impartido clases en modalidad online \u201caun no conozco Concepci\u00f3n, me gustar\u00eda conocer el campus de la universidad, me lo imagino muy distinto a donde estudi\u00e9\u201d<\/strong> comenta.<\/p>\n
