A partir del 26 de abril, el Microscopio electr\u00f3nico de barrido SEM con detector EDS, modelo JEOL JSM 6010 PLUS\/LA<\/strong>, estar\u00e1 disponible para actividades de investigaci\u00f3n de la Facultad de Ingenier\u00eda. Esto, gracias a la gesti\u00f3n del Grupo Interdisciplinario de Nanotecnolog\u00eda Aplicada (GINA) <\/strong>y en particular del acad\u00e9mico Manuel Mel\u00e9ndrez, quien a trav\u00e9s de los fondos del a\u00f1o 1 y 2 de bienes de capital de su proyecto Fondecyt regular N\u00b0 1201338 logr\u00f3 adquirir este importante equipo.<\/p>\n

\u201cEntramos en las facultad del pa\u00eds que tienen su propio microscopio electr\u00f3nico de este tipo y \u00fanico en la Universidad de Concepci\u00f3n\u201d<\/strong>, explica Manuel Mel\u00e9ndrez, quien adem\u00e1s agradece el aporte de la Vicerrector\u00eda de Investigaci\u00f3n y Desarrollo, mediante fondos de overhead<\/em> e infraestructura de proyectos de los acad\u00e9micos Ramalinga Mangalaraja y Juan Pablo Sanhueza (DIMAT), y Katherina Fern\u00e1ndez del Departamento de Ingenier\u00eda Qu\u00edmica (DIQ), como tambi\u00e9n aportes del propio DIMAT y pr\u00e9stamo del IIT UdeC, dinero que permiti\u00f3 pagar su internaci\u00f3n y posterior traslado.<\/p>\n

El microscopio electr\u00f3nico permitir\u00e1 ahorros de tiempo muy valiosos para la investigaci\u00f3n, puesto que antes se deb\u00edan enviar muestras al CESMI o actualmente CMA donde existe un equipo similar., lo que podr\u00eda tardar 15 d\u00edas. Ahora, durante un d\u00eda se podr\u00e1 obtener informaci\u00f3n valiosa para avanzar m\u00e1s r\u00e1pido y con tecnolog\u00eda de punta.<\/p>\n

El equipo tendr\u00e1 dos d\u00edas exclusivos para los investigadores del grupo GINA, otros dos d\u00edas para actividad acad\u00e9mica o de investigaci\u00f3n de otros colegas o departamentos de la FI UdeC y un d\u00eda para asistencia t\u00e9cnica.<\/p>\n
