Fuente: Noticias UdeC – Vicerrector\u00eda de Investigaci\u00f3n y Desarrollo, Universidad de Concepci\u00f3n<\/em><\/p>\n Felicitaciones al acad\u00e9mico Jorge Pezoa del Departamento de Ingenier\u00eda El\u00e9ctrica, quien obtuvo financiamiento Fondef IDeA I+D para el proyecto \u201cCertificaci\u00f3n Digital de Desembarques de Especies Pel\u00e1gicas en la Pesca Artesanal\u201d, <\/strong>apoyada por la empresa suiza SICPA y cuyo objetivo es fortalecer el proceso de certificaci\u00f3n de los desembarques pesqueros del pa\u00eds, y con ello ayudar a combatir la pesca ilegal.<\/p>\n En entrevista con la Vrid, Jorge Pezoa coment\u00f3 que, \u201ceste sistema permitir\u00e1 obtener las tallas de las especies desembarcadas, siendo este un elemento de apoyo para la fiscalizaci\u00f3n de la talla m\u00ednima legal de captura, en aquellas especies que la normativa lo exige\u201d.<\/strong> En concreto, se trata de la instalaci\u00f3n de un dispositivo con c\u00e1maras digitales e iluminaci\u00f3n en las cintas transportadoras de las zonas de descarga de las plantas procesadoras de pesca artesanal. Las im\u00e1genes registradas son transmitidas y procesadas por un software especializado en determinar a qu\u00e9 especie (crust\u00e1ceos, mariscos o peces) pertenece cada ejemplar capturado, obteniendo datos como volumen y proporciones, para finalmente emitir un certificado digital con los resultados del an\u00e1lisis.<\/p>\n Fondef IDeA I+D busca apoyar proyectos de investigaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica y tecnol\u00f3gica que cuenten con antecedentes previos que sustenten una hip\u00f3tesis de aplicaci\u00f3n de una tecnolog\u00eda, producto o servicio, y que con el desarrollo de la investigaci\u00f3n logren su validaci\u00f3n a trav\u00e9s de una prueba de concepto, modelo o prototipo evaluados en condiciones de laboratorio o peque\u00f1a escala en el plazo de dos a\u00f1os. Este a\u00f1o, a nivel universitario tambi\u00e9n lo obtuvo la acad\u00e9mica Raquel Montesino de la Facultad de Ciencias Biol\u00f3gicas.<\/p>\n
