El Centro de Alumnos del Departamento de Ingenier\u00eda de Materiales, CAADIMAT,<\/strong> est\u00e1 integrado por j\u00f3venes que buscan aportar, trabajar y difundir su carrera. El 22 de mayo del 2020 iniciaron su per\u00edodo, con un paro acuestas, pero a pesar de las dificultades, salieron adelante con esfuerzo y perseverancia, logrando no s\u00f3lo avances en lo interno, sino tambi\u00e9n una difusi\u00f3n de la propia carrera que fue todo un \u00e9xito.<\/p>\n

Conversamos con Camilo Jim\u00e9nez<\/strong>, Presidente; y con Javiera Torres<\/strong>, Secretaria General del CAADIMAT, quienes relataron parte de sus metas, desaf\u00edos y aprendizajes durante el a\u00f1o pasado.<\/p>\n

Uno de los retos fue generar un petitorio representativo a trav\u00e9s de largas reuniones con los alumnos y alumnas de la carrera, y en forma paralela, la instauraci\u00f3n de reuniones bisemanales con el Jefe de Carrera (Juan Pablo Sanhueza), lo que permiti\u00f3 avanzar en forma permanente. \u201cHubo harta representatividad y como Centro de Alumno tambi\u00e9n aprovechamos los talentos de cada integrante para movilizar las cosas y se da la suerte que todos quer\u00edamos aportar\u201d,<\/strong> explica Camilo Jim\u00e9nez. As\u00ed, el CAADIMAT est\u00e1 integrado tambi\u00e9n por Carolina Alarc\u00f3n<\/strong> como Vice Presidenta; Javiera Contreras<\/strong>, Secretaria de Finanzas; Andrea Pe\u00f1a,<\/strong> delegada social; Emilio Bustos<\/strong>, delegado difusi\u00f3n; y Manuel Facundo Astroza<\/strong>, delegado deportes.<\/p>\n

De esta manera, el primer semestre estuvo concentrado en resolver y gestionar las problem\u00e1ticas propias de la pandemia y las clases, y a partir de septiembre quisieron agregar tambi\u00e9n un enfoque distinto organizando el Seminario de las Ciencias e Ingenier\u00eda de Materiales<\/strong>, primero dos veces por semana, y luego s\u00f3lo los martes.<\/p>\n

El objetivo fue dar a conocer la carrera, \u201cporque es t\u00edpico, a cualquier estudiante de materiales que a uno le preguntan \u00bfQu\u00e9 est\u00e1s estudiando? y uno contesta ingenier\u00eda civil de materiales, y Qu\u00e9 hacen? y la mayor\u00eda, sobre todo los mechones, ni siquiera saben qu\u00e9 es lo que llegan a ser\u201d,<\/b> cuenta Javiera Torres.<\/p>\n

Al principio, el foco era para los alumnos de primer a\u00f1o para que, por medio de experiencias de egresados, pudieran ver las \u00e1reas de desarrollo. \u201cM\u00e1s adelante, nos fuimos dando cuenta que deb\u00eda ampliarse a la comunidad, a los pap\u00e1s, a quien quisiera saber de la carrera\u201d<\/strong>, comenta Camilo.<\/p>\n

De esta manera, en los 13 seminarios se mostraron, en definitiva, 13 \u00e1reas dentro de la disciplina con potencial real de especializaci\u00f3n. \u201cSe formul\u00f3 de tal manera que se fuera construyendo a la medida que iba avanzando, y la verdad es que sali\u00f3 mucho mejor de lo que esper\u00e1bamos\u201d,<\/strong> puntualiza Jim\u00e9nez.<\/p>\n

En los seminarios expusieron, en su mayor\u00eda, egresados, quienes tambi\u00e9n se sumaron como p\u00fablico, junto a profesores y alumnos.<\/p>\n
