Hace unos d\u00edas, se realiz\u00f3 el encuentro \u201cMujeres poderosas\u201d<\/strong>, en la que participaron m\u00e1s de 200 ni\u00f1as y mujeres entre 8\u00ba b\u00e1sico y 2\u00ba medio de establecimientos p\u00fablico y subvencionados de todo el pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n

El encuentro fue organizado por la\u00a0 plataforma de networking y mentor\u00edas para mujeres profesionales y l\u00edderes de negocios en Latinoam\u00e9rica, WoomUp, y en \u00e9ste particip\u00f3 Valentina Troncoso, estudiante de Ingenier\u00eda Civil en Telecomunicaciones.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cEl objetivo principal de la charla era presentar carreras STEAM representativas. Todo esto para que las chicas tuvieran orientaci\u00f3n y conocimientos con respecto a\u00a0 las variedades de carreras que se pueden presentar en el \u00e1rea ayudando\u00a0 adem\u00e1s a crear cierta cercan\u00eda en base a los testimonios que cada\u00a0representante pod\u00eda contar\u201d<\/strong>, indic\u00f3 Valentina sobre la actividad.<\/p>\n

Lo que m\u00e1s destaca la estudiante de Telecomunicaciones fue el hecho de relevar la participaci\u00f3n de la mujer en las \u00e1reas de ciencia y tecnolog\u00eda ante las asistentes. \u201cDe la actividad y del programa en general, la principal y m\u00e1s importante\u00a0conclusi\u00f3n que puedo sacar es el hecho de lo relevante que es para una\u00a0ni\u00f1a poder ver mujeres reales que trabajen en estas \u00e1reas, ya que as\u00ed se\u00a0convierte en una realidad mucho m\u00e1s accesible y cercana pudiendo dejar\u00a0as\u00ed los obst\u00e1culos propios que ellas mismas se auto imponen tal como si\u00a0 sus capacidades o aptitudes son las suficientes\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n

El jefe de carrera, Dr. Segio Sobarzo, destac\u00f3 y agradeci\u00f3 la participaci\u00f3n de estudiantes en actividades de difusi\u00f3n, sobre todo las que son dirigidas a mujeres: \u201cPara nosotros es muy importante posicionar nuestra carrera como una alternativa real para todas las mujeres que tengan inter\u00e9s en la ingenier\u00eda y que, al ver otras mujeres desempe\u00f1\u00e1ndose exitosamente en esta \u00e1rea, consideren las telecomunicaciones como un camino al \u00e9xito profesional y personal\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n
