Las estudiantes de ingenier\u00eda civil inform\u00e1tica, Catalina Pezo y Martina C\u00e1diz<\/strong>, finalizaron dentro de los Top 10 de Chile en el programa \u201cSeeds for the future\u201d de Huawei<\/a>,<\/strong> encuentro que busca promover el talento joven en todo el mundo y, en el caso de nuestro Pa\u00eds, seleccion\u00f3 a 53 alumnos y alumnas de diferentes universidades.<\/p>\n

\u201cSeeds for the future\u201d<\/strong> consisti\u00f3 en una semana intensa de clases y talleres – algunas conferencias en tiempo real y otros cursos asincr\u00f3nicos – con expertos de Huawei, que se dedicaron a compartir conocimientos, sumergirnos en la cultura China e incluso al desarrollo de habilidades interpersonales. Algunos de estos cursos eran obligatorios y con ex\u00e1menes finales que med\u00edan lo aprendido en las clases, para los cuales se deb\u00eda cumplir con un puntaje m\u00ednimo de aprobaci\u00f3n. De esta manera, los y las estudiantes con mayor puntuaci\u00f3n en las\u00a0evaluaciones iban avanzando para\u00a0ser seleccionadas\/os dentro de las\/os mejores. Fue el caso de Catalina y Martina.<\/p>\n

Entre los temas impartidos destacan Inteligencia Artificial, Cloud Computing, 5G, IoT, junto con liderazgo e incluso caligraf\u00eda China.<\/p>\n

\u00bfQu\u00e9 te motiv\u00f3 participar?<\/strong>
\n<\/strong>Mi jefe de carrera nos inform\u00f3 sobre el programa, e inmediatamente me llam\u00f3 la atenci\u00f3n, as\u00ed que decid\u00ed investigar m\u00e1s al respecto: en qu\u00e9 consist\u00eda, qu\u00e9 temas abordaba, las fechas, c\u00f3mo postular, etc. Al consultar en distintas p\u00e1ginas, me di cuenta que trataba temas que siempre me han llamado la atenci\u00f3n dentro de mi carrera (Ingenier\u00eda Civil Inform\u00e1tica), que son la Inteligencia Artificial y Cloud Computing, adem\u00e1s abordar\u00eda una tecnolog\u00eda muy relevante actualmente y de la cual cada d\u00eda se habla m\u00e1s por la importancia que tiene su implementaci\u00f3n en distintos \u00e1mbitos de nuestro futuro tecnol\u00f3gico: el 5G. Muchos de los conceptos mencionados en la planificaci\u00f3n del curso (AI, Cloud, 5G, IoT) hab\u00edan sido mencionados en una asignatura de carrera el semestre pasado, y en m\u00e1s de una ocasi\u00f3n uno de los referentes en dichas tecnolog\u00edas era Huawei, por lo que sab\u00eda que aprender de estas tem\u00e1ticas directamente de una de las potencias m\u00e1s grandes en el \u00e1rea era una oportunidad que no se pod\u00eda perder.<\/p>\n

Adem\u00e1s, otro gran aspecto que el programa resaltaba era el liderazgo, lo cual tambi\u00e9n es de mi inter\u00e9s debido a mi participaci\u00f3n en distintas organizaciones.<\/p>\n

De este modo, sab\u00eda que todo lo ense\u00f1ado ser\u00eda de gran relevancia en mi formaci\u00f3n no s\u00f3lo profesional, sino tambi\u00e9n personal, por lo que decid\u00ed atreverme y postular.<\/p>\n

\u00bfQu\u00e9 podr\u00edas destacar del programa?
\n<\/strong>Hay muchas cosas que podr\u00eda destacar del programa, como la preocupaci\u00f3n y dedicaci\u00f3n de quienes organizaban hacia las y los estudiantes, la gran red de contactos generada, la calidad del contenido aprendido, entre muchos otros… Pero una de las cosas que m\u00e1s destaco fue el conocer una nueva cultura, que si bien no se pudo ir presencialmente a China, los talleres preparados sobre la cultura oriental y la interacci\u00f3n con gente procedente del pa\u00eds, comentando su experiencia y ense\u00f1ando sus costumbres, me abrieron completamente los ojos y me dejaron muy entusiasmada por conocer m\u00e1s del mundo.<\/p>\n

Y sin duda, lo mejor de todo fue compartir esta experiencia junto con mi compa\u00f1era de carrera, de Centro de Alumnos y de\u00a0WIE, Martina, que tambi\u00e9n sali\u00f3 dentro de los 10 primeros lugares del programa. Creo que la motivaci\u00f3n fue mutua durante esa dura semana, tanto durante las sesiones en vivo como para completar los cursos en la plataforma, ya que ambas est\u00e1bamos enfocadas en el programa en paralelo con las clases del 2do semestre de universidad, lo cual hac\u00eda la experiencia mucho m\u00e1s desafiante. Es por ello que no tengo dudas en que mi \u00e9xito en el desarrollo de la actividad se debi\u00f3 totalmente al \u00e1nimo constante generado entre ambas para avanzar y dar as\u00ed todo nuestro potencial.<\/p>\n

\nHoy en d\u00eda en Chile, las tecnolog\u00edas de la informaci\u00f3n y la comunicaci\u00f3n son m\u00e1s relevantes que nunca. Debido a su alcance sin precedentes, han cambiado completamente la forma en que la sociedad se desarrolla, desde los smartphones que toda persona usa para relacionarse a trav\u00e9s de redes sociales, hasta compa\u00f1\u00edas que son puramente digitales; no es disparatado decir que vivimos en una era digital. Desde que comenc\u00e9 mis estudios universitarios me di cuenta del potencial que hab\u00eda en las tecnolog\u00edas para el avance en todas las \u00e1reas, y la necesidad que exist\u00eda de poder compartir estos conocimientos para un bien com\u00fan.
