La madera es un elemento que lleg\u00f3 para quedarse, tanto por su comportamiento estructural como su afabilidad con el medio ambiente. Por ello, la Corporaci\u00f3n Chilena de la Madera<\/strong> lanz\u00f3 el concurso Madera 21<\/strong><\/a>, un desaf\u00edo de un mes de extensi\u00f3n cuyos resultados ser\u00e1n revelados los primeros d\u00edas de octubre, y en cuyo certamen, dos ingenieros UdeC presentaron sus ambicioso proyectos.<\/p>\n

Las investigaciones de mag\u00edster lideradas por Maximiliano Wageman y Francisco \u00c1vila se enfocan en tem\u00e1ticas actuales referentes al contexto de la construcci\u00f3n con madera en nuestro pa\u00eds y el mundo.\u00a0 \u201cEl uso de la madera para estructuras de mediana y gran altura es algo reciente, por ende, a\u00fan hay mucho por investigar. Yo creo que la investigaci\u00f3n se ir\u00e1 enfocando a las estructuras de madera masiva, como por ejemplo CLT y tambi\u00e9n a el uso materiales compuestos, ya que esto es lo que hace posible la construcci\u00f3n de edificios de gran altura\u00bb,<\/strong> indica Maximiliano Wagemann.<\/p>\n

Por su parte, la investigaci\u00f3n de Francisco \u00c1bila abord\u00f3 el estudio s\u00edsmico de las losas de madera en edificios h\u00edbridos con muros de hormig\u00f3n armado con el objetivo de identificar su comportamiento. \u00abCon las conclusiones obtenidas espero facilitar el dise\u00f1o de este tipo de edificios incentivando su uso y, en consecuencia, el uso de madera en edificios de mediana y gran altura\u201d<\/strong>, sostuvo.<\/p>\n

Para que estas grandes ideas pudieran llegar al proceso de postulaci\u00f3n de Madera 21 se cont\u00f3 con el constante apoyo de Gearbox y de la Unidad de I+D de la FI UdeC,<\/strong> tanto en la construcci\u00f3n del material inicial para entrar en competencia como en la entrega de un mensaje simplificado. \u201cCreo que espec\u00edficamente es en esto donde el \u00e1rea I+D ayud\u00f3 m\u00e1s a los participantes, a \u201ctraducir\u201d sus investigaciones a resultados comprensibles para todo p\u00fablico. Esto es clave en competencias donde los jurados no necesariamente manejan las terminolog\u00edas t\u00e9cnicas espec\u00edficas utilizadas en cada investigaci\u00f3n\u00bb<\/strong>, indic\u00f3 Javiera Ziehe, Ejecutiva de I + D FI UdeC.<\/p>\n

Finalmente, Maximiliano Wagemann coment\u00f3 que, \u00ablos chicos de Gearbox y de I+D me brindaron ayuda a la hora de dise\u00f1ar todos los documentos requeridos para el concurso, gracias a ellos pude transformar un proyecto netamente te\u00f3rico a algo m\u00e1s did\u00e1ctico y llamativo para el p\u00fablico\u00bb<\/strong><\/p>\n
