De esta manera, el 100% de los y las docentes del Departamento de Ingenier\u00eda Inform\u00e1tica y Ciencias de la Computaci\u00f3n (13\/13) y del Departamento de Ingenier\u00eda Civil (16\/16) y el 92,31% del Departamento de Ingenier\u00eda Industrial (12\/13) emitieron su voto. Todos los nuevos directores fueron elegidos por el per\u00edodo 2020-2022.<\/p>\n

Marcela Varas<\/strong>\u00a0fue elegida como Directora del Departamento de Ingenier\u00eda Inform\u00e1tica. En el caso del Departamento de Ingenier\u00eda Civil fue elegido Juan Antonio Carrasco<\/strong>; y Jorge Jimen\u00e9z<\/strong> en el Departamento de Ingenier\u00eda Industrial.<\/p>\n

\u201cEstoy s\u00faper agradecida del apoyo de los profesores y su compromiso. Lo interpreto como una declaraci\u00f3n de disposici\u00f3n a colaborar, Es un interesante desaf\u00edo considerando la relevancia de nuestra disciplina, de la carrera y de todos los programas de formaci\u00f3n que hacemos en el contexto actual. Agradezco profundamente el estado en que est\u00e1 el departamento gracias a la gesti\u00f3n de Diego Seco, una excelente inspiraci\u00f3n y modelo a seguir\u201d,<\/strong> explic\u00f3 Marcela Varas, quien busca en una primera etapa fortalecer el trabajo interno, manteniendo aquellos aspectos que los destacan, con un estilo de gesti\u00f3n participativo e inclusivo, como tambi\u00e9n incorporar otros relacionados con posicionar la disciplina y convertirte en referentes nacionales y latinoamericanos. \u201cPero lo m\u00e1s urgente es poner en el centro a las personas y su bienestar para que todos quienes colaboran en el departamento tengan las mejores condiciones posibles en este complejo periodo de pandemia\u201d<\/strong>, puntualiz\u00f3.<\/p>\n

– Juan Antonio Carrasco, Director Departamento Ingenier\u00eda Civil<\/p>\n

Respecto a los desaf\u00edos para el Departamento de Ingenier\u00eda Civil, Juan Antonio Carrasco comenta que la implementaci\u00f3n de la nueva malla curricular representa un cambio y un reto importante, como tambi\u00e9n, \u201cuna renovaci\u00f3n de la planta acad\u00e9mica, lo que implica el desaf\u00edo importante en estos momentos, dada la diversidad de \u00e1reas de especializaci\u00f3n del Departamento. Igualmente, aumentar la colaboraci\u00f3n e interdisciplina y finalmente creo que tenemos que avanzar en visibilizar, tanto interna como externamente la labor del departamento, en investigaci\u00f3n, asistencia t\u00e9cnica y aporte a la comunidad\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n

– Jorge Jim\u00e9nez, Director Departamento Ingenier\u00eda Industrial<\/p>\n

En temas acad\u00e9micos, Jorge Jim\u00e9nez busca continuar posicionando el programa de pre grado y los programas de postgrado, que incluyen 3 mag\u00edsteres y 1 doctorado. \u201cSomos la carrera que tiene mayor n\u00famero de alumnos y alumnas en la Facultad de Ingenier\u00eda, por lo que buscamos seguir siendo atractivos tanto para estudiantes nacionales como internacionales\u201d<\/strong>.<\/em> Adem\u00e1s, en el \u00e1rea de investigaci\u00f3n destaca el desaf\u00edo de encontrar nuevos talentos acad\u00e9micos para continuar con el plan de desarrollo del Departamento. \u201cSe busca contratar nuevos profesionales, dado el recambio natural, para seguir creciendo y mejorar indicadores de productividad cient\u00edfica y asistencia t\u00e9cnica para el sector productivo\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

– Sistema de votaci\u00f3n online
Las distintas comisiones electorales de los tres Departamentos destacaron el sistema de votaci\u00f3n online. \u201cMe pareci\u00f3 excelente todo, s\u00faper eficiente, transparente, que este sistema llegue a la Universidad, muy claro todo, ejecutivo\u201d,<\/strong> coment\u00f3 Patricio Cendoya, docente integrante de la comisi\u00f3n del Departamento de Ingenier\u00eda Civil. Por su parte, Jos\u00e9 Vargas, Presidente de la misma comisi\u00f3n indic\u00f3 que, \u201ctodas las posibles dudas que puedan surgir, aqu\u00ed est\u00e1n respondidas, aqu\u00ed nada queda la azar, felicitaciones a ustedes como empresa\u201d. <\/strong>Similar opini\u00f3n tuvo Lilian Salinas, Presidenta de la comisi\u00f3n del Departamento de Ingenier\u00eda Inform\u00e1tica, \u201ctodo fue claro y expedito, agradezco que todo haya funcionado hoy d\u00eda\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n
