Carlos Lagos, Ejecutivo de Aceleraci\u00f3n en Gearbox UdeC,<\/a> particip\u00f3 como mentor en la hackat\u00f3n COVID 19 del MIT<\/a> – evento que reuni\u00f3 a m\u00e1s de 400 equipos latinoamericanos en torno al tema – representando a la Facultad de Ingenier\u00eda de la Universidad de Concepci\u00f3n<\/p>\n

La actividad, en que la Facultad de Ingenier\u00eda y Gearbox UdeC fueron instituciones colaboradoras, se efectu\u00f3 entre el 19 y 21 de junio, y cont\u00f3 con otros cerca de 400 mentores de pa\u00edses latinoamericanos.<\/p>\n

\u201cSe trat\u00f3 de un desaf\u00edo que buscaba generar ideas con potencial de impacto en el combate del coronavirus en distintos \u00e1mbitos\u201d<\/strong>, cont\u00f3 Carlos Lagos. Se trataron de 10 tracks o subdivisiones m\u00e1s espec\u00edficas de los temas en que los equipos pod\u00edan participar, desde educaci\u00f3n hasta dispositivos o herramientas tecnol\u00f3gicas para manejar la pandemia.<\/p>\n

Su labor como mentor estuvo relacionada con su \u00e1rea de espert\u00eds, es decir, emprendimientos tecnol\u00f3gicos e innovaci\u00f3n, acompa\u00f1ando a tres equipos integrada por distintas nacionalidades, tales como, del Per\u00fa, de M\u00e9xico, de Colombia, de Argentina y Costa Rica.<\/p>\n

Uno de los equipos estaba dedicado a la fabricaci\u00f3n de un dispositivo que tuviera una detecci\u00f3n temprana de s\u00edntomas del COVID y as\u00ed enviar alertas tanto al afectado como al hospital. Otro, relacionado con las fake news sobre la pandemia utilizando blockchain para advertir y eliminar informaci\u00f3n falsa y s\u00f3lo difundir la que es avalada por organismos de salud u otros, Y el \u00faltimo, una plataforma web y m\u00f3vil, una especie de telemedicina, y que en caso de gravedad generaba un sistema para programar la hora e ingreso de la persona al hospital para saltarse el papeleo o tr\u00e1mite administrativo<\/p>\n

\u201cTodos los equipos ten\u00edan reuniones con distintos mentores, de acuerdo a su \u00e1rea de experiencia o conocimiento, as\u00ed fue bastante complementario y muy bueno para los equipos\u201d<\/strong>, coment\u00f3 Lagos, quien fue seleccionado de un grupo de postulantes nacionales como mentor internacional del MIT para este desaf\u00edo, el \u00fanico representante del sur de Chile y que lo tiene muy orgulloso, \u201csobre todo, por haber representado a la Universidad de Concepci\u00f3n y a la Facultad de Ingenier\u00eda y generar nuevas conexiones internacionales\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n
