El mi\u00e9rcoles 3 de junio, Rector Carlos Saavedra,<\/strong> junto al acad\u00e9mico Guillermo Cabrera del Departamento de Ingenier\u00eda Inform\u00e1tica de la Facultad de Ingenier\u00eda,<\/strong> conversaron con autoridades de salud y medios de prensa para dar a conocer las estimaciones de comportamiento del Covid 19 en las regiones de \u00d1uble y Biobio, informaci\u00f3n que ser\u00e1 actualizada semanalmente para contribuir a mejores decisiones para combatir la pandemia.<\/p>\n

\u201cProyecciones Covid-19: Chile-Biob\u00edo-\u00d1uble\u201d,<\/strong> \u00a0es una modelaci\u00f3n matem\u00e1tica basada en datos pasados del comportamiento del virus, en cuanto a tasa de contagio por nivel de contacto, los per\u00edodos de incubaci\u00f3n e infecci\u00f3n, la tasa de mortalidad, y el porcentaje de muestreo de la poblaci\u00f3n. \u201cAl hacer eso tratamos de comprender lo que pas\u00f3 hacia atr\u00e1s, pero nosotros llegamos un poquito m\u00e1s adelante, en el sentido de tratar de entender lo que pasar\u00e1. Eso requiere metodolog\u00edas m\u00e1s complejas, porque no es f\u00e1cil entender o validar lo que va a suceder\u201d<\/strong>, coment\u00f3 Guillermo Cabrera.<\/p>\n
