Desde el 13 al 17 de enero se efectu\u00f3 el curso de actualizaci\u00f3n y postgrado Microscopia Electr\u00f3nica Avanzada: de la Microscop\u00eda Electr\u00f3nica Convencional (TEM) a la microscopia de Resoluci\u00f3n At\u00f3mica (ARM), <\/strong>organizado por el Doctorado en Ciencias e Ingenier\u00eda de Materiales del Departamento de Ingenier\u00eda de Materiales.<\/p>\n

Por esta raz\u00f3n, el acad\u00e9mico e investigador Dr. Arturo Ponce Pedraza del Departamento de F\u00edsica y Astronom\u00eda de la Universidad de Texas, San Antonio, Estados Unidos,<\/a> fue el especialista invitado, quien dict\u00f3 los fundamentos y aplicaciones de estas tecnolog\u00edas.<\/p>\n

Cabe destacar que la Microscopia de Resoluci\u00f3n At\u00f3mica muestra la forma elemental como se construye el mundo y que tiene m\u00faltiples usos, ya que \u201ces una herramienta muy importante para diferentes disciplinas en que se necesita estudiar a nivel at\u00f3mico, a nivel sub nanom\u00e9trico los objetos. Por ejemplo en el programa de Ingenier\u00eda de Materiales la mayor\u00eda de los profesores trabajan en materiales a nano escala y es imprescindible caracterizarlos a esta escala\u201d<\/strong>, explic\u00f3 el Dr. Ponce, quien agrega que se buscar formar profesionales para que eventualmente est\u00e9n preparadas para recibir un equipo de esta envergadura en la Universidad de Concepci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n
