En el marco de las actividades del China-Chile ICT Joint Laboratory,<\/strong> y de un proyecto sobre manejo de desastres de origen natural financiado por NSF China y CONICYT, los profesores Jorge Pezoa, Gonzalo Montalva, y la profesora Silvia Restrepo de la Universidad Cat\u00f3lica de la Sant\u00edsima Concepci\u00f3n, participaron en \u201c2019 HIT-UdeC Workshop on NSFC-CONICYT Project\u201d<\/strong> realizado en Harbin, China.<\/p>\n En el workshop participaron investigadores de Harbin Institute oh Technology, Wuhan University, Universidad de Concepci\u00f3n<\/strong> y de las compa\u00f1\u00edas de telecomunicaciones CICT, Fiberhome y Hytera<\/strong>, para mostrar avances del proyecto y conversar sobre el intercambio de alumnos entre HIT y la UdeC.<\/p>\n \u201cEst\u00e1bamos coordinando las actividades del proyecto de manejo de desastres de origen natural, y al mismo tiempo estamos mostrando lo que se est\u00e1 haciendo tanto en China como en Chile al respecto del proyecto. Lo otro que est\u00e1bamos coordinando como parte del workshop era el intercambio de estudiantes, ya que desde el pr\u00f3ximo a\u00f1o dos estudiantes viajar\u00edan a China, y quer\u00edamos ver con quienes van a trabajar, cuando tiempo estar\u00edan y d\u00f3nde se quedar\u00edan. Las o los estudiantes va a realizar una estad\u00eda de dos meses con cargo al proyecto\u201d<\/strong>, indic\u00f3 Pezoa, quien es director del proyecto.<\/p>\n Este proyecto tiene como objetivo desarrollar, mediante el uso de geotecnia, inteligencia artificial, drones, realidad virtual, comunicaciones 4G\/5G y TICs, sistemas de alerta temprana y evaluaci\u00f3n de da\u00f1os asociado a terremotos y deslizamientos de tierra. \u201cEstamos enfocados a problemas de remociones en masa, ocupando tecnolog\u00eda \u00f3ptica, sensores de terreno para poder hacer evaluaciones r\u00e1pidas y de esa manera dar informaci\u00f3n r\u00e1pida a la ciudadan\u00eda o a los organismos de rescate, de manera que puedan responder adecuadamente. En China est\u00e1n trabajando en una parte de esto y la integraci\u00f3n ser\u00e1 principalmente v\u00eda estudiante. La investigaci\u00f3n y desarrollo tecnol\u00f3gico que se da en China es impresionante y estamos motivados para fortalecer la colaboraci\u00f3n y aportar en un \u00e1rea tan importante como es el
