El docente del Departamento de Ingenier\u00eda Metal\u00fargica, DIMET, Leopoldo Guti\u00e9rrez, particip\u00f3 en la decimoquinta conferencia internacional de procesamiento de minerales y la geometal\u00fargica, \u201cProcemin-Geomet 2019\u201d que se realiz\u00f3 entre el 20 y 22 de noviembre pasado en el Hotel Sheraton de Santiago.<\/strong><\/p>\n

En el encuentro, que ofreci\u00f3 m\u00e1s de 85 charlas t\u00e9cnicas y plenarias, los asistentes tuvieron la oportunidad de conocer las \u00faltimas tendencias en tecnolog\u00eda y en la gesti\u00f3n integrada de procesos que permiten mejorar la cadena de valor geolog\u00eda- mina-planta.
El Dr. Leopoldo Guti\u00e9rrez, quien adem\u00e1s es coorganizador del evento, expuso el trabajo \u201cMinerales de arcilla y mica en la flotaci\u00f3n: efecto aguas abajo del uso de agentes dispersantes\u201d, el cual tiene como objetivo \u201cevaluar el efecto de filosilicatos en la flotaci\u00f3n de minerales de cobre y molibdeno en agua de mar\u201d, explic\u00f3 el investigador.<\/p>\n

En esta versi\u00f3n aniversario tambi\u00e9n estuvieron presentes los profesores del DIMET, Andr\u00e9s Ram\u00edrez y Dennis Vega quienes comentaron que Procemin-Geomet 2019 \u201ces un importante espacio de conversaci\u00f3n donde se puede discutir respecto del presente, futuro y desaf\u00edos de la industria minera\u201d, enfatizaron.<\/p>\n

Esta conferencia que alberg\u00f3 a 25 autores y a casi 400 participantes es organizada por la Universidad de Queensland, Austalia; Universidad de Concepci\u00f3n, Facultad de Ciencias F\u00edsicas y Matem\u00e1ticas de la Universidad de Chile, Universidad de Goias, Brasil y Gecamin.<\/p>\n
