M\u00e1s de 500 profesionales lationamericanos se dieron cita en el XIII Workshop de EmprendeSUR<\/strong> <\/a>(Red de Emprendimiento e Innovaci\u00f3n en Am\u00e9rica Latina), de la cual el Dr. Pedro Vera Castillo, acad\u00e9mico del Departamento de Ingenier\u00eda de Materiales, es su presidente.<\/p>\n

El encuentro, efectuado entre el 15 y el 18 de octubre, se desarroll\u00f3 en la sede del Instituto Nacional de Telecomunicaciones INATEL<\/a>, en la ciudad de Santa Rita do Sapuca\u00ed, estado de Minas Gerais, Brasil, conocida como el Valle de la Electr\u00f3nica gracias a un crecimiento espectacular en el n\u00famero de empresas de tecnolog\u00eda, telecomunicaciones y software que hoy exportan productos y servicios al mundo.<\/p>\n

Este a\u00f1o el evento ha sido convocado bajo el lema \u201cCiudades creativas, ciudades felices\u201d, <\/strong>tem\u00e1tica que fue analizada desde diferentes \u00e1ngulos: un panel de alcaldes y el rol de los municipios en la tem\u00e1tica, el que cont\u00f3 con la participaci\u00f3n del Alcalde de Concepci\u00f3n, se\u00f1or \u00c1lvaro Ortiz; un panel de rectores que analiz\u00f3 el rol de las universidades y el futuro de las ciudades; un panel que analiz\u00f3 la educaci\u00f3n del futuro con destacados expertos de la Fundaci\u00f3n Pedagog\u00eda 3000 junto a Fernando Dolabela y un Panel de Emprendedores que analizar\u00e1 el rol de la tecnolog\u00eda y el apoyo a las identidades locales.<\/p>\n

Entre las reflexiones finales del encuentro, Pedro Vera comenta la necesitamos volver a pensar en en las personas. \u201cDesde una mirada tecnol\u00f3gica centrada en las necesidades de las personas, y en ese sentido el lema era muy potente, muy convocante\u201d,<\/strong> puntualiz\u00f3 el acad\u00e9mico del DIMAT, quien destac\u00f3 que esta Red no termina de crecer, sobre todo, en el foco de la educaci\u00f3n para el emprendimiento.<\/p>\n

Durante el congreso, el Comit\u00e9 Acad\u00e9mico acept\u00f3 49 ponencias y 8 posters en las tem\u00e1ticas de Educaci\u00f3n Emprendedora, y de Fomento y Apoyo al Emprendimiento y la Innovaci\u00f3n de Brasil, Chile, Colombia, M\u00e9xico, Per\u00fa, Argentina y Bolivia.<\/p>\n
