Con la presentaci\u00f3n del Proyecto Marimaca, \u201cEl mejor proyecto de \u00f3xidos de cobre en la actualidad\u201d por Luis Tondo, Ceo y Presidente de Coro Mining, se dio inicio a este seminario de tres d\u00edas que acogi\u00f3 a estudiantes de ingenier\u00eda civil de minas, metalurgia y geolog\u00eda de esta y otras casas de estudios, y que busc\u00f3 visibilizar los desaf\u00edos futuros para la miner\u00eda en nuestro pa\u00eds.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Roberto Macaya, alumno de quinto a\u00f1o de Ingenier\u00eda Civil Metal\u00fargica es quien preside el Comit\u00e9 organizador de esta actividad, representado por las tres carreras mencionadas anteriormente, indica que la idea del seminario \u201ces contar con expositores que nos hablen de temas innovadores, de nuevas tecnolog\u00edas de aplicaci\u00f3n, de los problemas actuales y futuros de la miner\u00eda, de manera que cada uno podamos desarrollar una idea global\u201d.<\/p>\n

En relaci\u00f3n con los expositores, Macaya destac\u00f3 \u2013adem\u00e1s de Luis Tondo- la presencia de Osvaldo Y\u00e1\u00f1ez, Gerente de Producci\u00f3n, Innovaci\u00f3n y Desarrollo de SQM, expresando que \u201cla idea es abarcar no solo la extracci\u00f3n t\u00edpica que es cobre, sino tambi\u00e9n otras como el Litio por ejemplo\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cOtro expositor interesante es Mario Saavedra, de Angloamerican, trabaja en el soldado, la capital de innovaci\u00f3n de dicha empresa, quien nos contar\u00e1 sobre tecnolog\u00edas que ellos est\u00e1n desarrollando para aplicar en la miner\u00eda; b\u00e1sicamente lo que se viene en el futuro\u201d, asegur\u00f3 Macaya.<\/p>\n

Asimismo, el estudiante destac\u00f3 el bloque relacionado a la mujer en miner\u00eda, donde expuso Milka Casanegra, Presidenta de la Red Ingenieras en Minas y Tamara Leves, Presidenta de Women in Minigin.<\/p>\n

En esa l\u00ednea, Ximena Basulto, docente de legislaci\u00f3n y seguridad minera de quinto a\u00f1o de la carrera de Ingenier\u00eda en Minas, quien adem\u00e1s ejerce como abogado de la Seremi de Miner\u00eda de la regi\u00f3n del Biob\u00edo, respondi\u00f3, respecto a c\u00f3mo ve ella que est\u00e1 preparada la industria para recibir a mujeres ingenieras, diciendo: \u201cAhora somos el 8% que ocupamos mandos medios y eso es lo preocupante, porque las mujeres est\u00e1n instaladas como jefas de operaciones, subgerentes de log\u00edsticas, es decir, en la mina ya estamos funcionando de igual a igual con los hombres, en menor porcentaje, claro. Pero el punto es que necesitamos ingresar a los cargos de responsabilidad y toma de decisiones, y ah\u00ed es donde veo que Chile a\u00fan no est\u00e1 preparado, porque les cuesta admitir que los talentos femeninos van a incrementar el crecimiento econ\u00f3mico; todav\u00eda hay un sesgo masculinizado que no ha sido f\u00e1cil franquear, no solo en la industria minera, sino en la energ\u00e9tica, en la construcci\u00f3n, en fin\u201d.<\/p>\n

Finalmente, Oscar Mu\u00f1oz, Seremi de Miner\u00eda de la regi\u00f3n del Biob\u00edo, quien destac\u00f3 la iniciativa de los estudiantes, indicando la importancia que tiene para ellos conocer los desaf\u00edos de la industria en los pr\u00f3ximo. Asimismo, coment\u00f3 \u201cHay que entender que no hay desarrollo sostenible en el planeta, sin la actividad minera. Solo para dar un ejemplo. Un veh\u00edculo el\u00e9ctrico utiliza siete veces m\u00e1s cobre que un veh\u00edculo convencional y Chile es el mayor productor de cobre. Por tanto -ya nos ven\u00eda a decir un profesor sobre el proyecto Marimaca que lo acabamos de escuchar-, la miner\u00eda tiene un buen pron\u00f3stico, al mediano y al largo plazo en nuestro pa\u00eds\u201d. <\/p>\n
