Una nueva delegaci\u00f3n de la Universidad de Concepci\u00f3n viaj\u00f3 a China en inicios de septiembre para asistir al International Training Workshop on TD-LTE and Next Generation of Mobile Communication Technology,<\/strong> organizado por la compa\u00f1\u00eda China Information and Communication Technology (CICT).<\/p>\n

En esta ocasi\u00f3n, los profesionales de Ingenier\u00eda Civil en Telecomunicaciones que asistieron fueron el Dr. Gabriel Saavedra, acad\u00e9mico; Exequiel Campillo, jefe de la secci\u00f3n Mantenci\u00f3n y Servicios del Departamento de Ingenier\u00eda El\u00e9ctrica; y Luis Arteaga, laborante t\u00e9cnico de la carrera de Ingenier\u00eda Civil en Telecomunicaciones.<\/p>\n

\u201cFuimos como delegaci\u00f3n a formar parte de este workshop, en el contexto de la implementaci\u00f3n del nuevo laboratorio de 5G y Comunicaciones M\u00f3viles de la carrera. Durante la jornada nos mostraron las tecnolog\u00edas que ellos est\u00e1n desarrollando para la implementaci\u00f3n del 5G y, adem\u00e1s, consideraba visitas a empresas y f\u00e1bricas que est\u00e1n relacionadas al rubro de la telefon\u00eda m\u00f3vil\u201d<\/strong>, indic\u00f3 el Dr. Saavedra.<\/p>\n

El investigador en fibras \u00f3pticas se\u00f1al\u00f3 adem\u00e1s que pudieron aprender sobre la historia de las comunicaciones m\u00f3viles y las aplicaciones que pueden desarrollarse con la implementaci\u00f3n del 5G. \u201cSon todas aplicaciones que necesitan gran conectividad de muchos dispositivos y quiz\u00e1s muchas transferencias de datos. Por ejemplo, en China existe una nube que controla los sem\u00e1foros, peajes y toda la ciudad\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n

En la ciudad de Xian, Exequiel Campillo y Luis Arteaga asistieron a una capacitaci\u00f3n que les permitir\u00e1 interconectar, operar y configurar los equipos que llegar\u00e1n desde el gigante asi\u00e1tico a la Universidad de Concepci\u00f3n. \u201cConocimos los equipos, c\u00f3mo funcionan y se programan. Con Luis Arteaga estaremos encargados de la instalaci\u00f3n, por lo que esta actividad tuvo gran utilidad para aclarar varias dudas relacionadas con log\u00edstica como la corriente, el voltaje y los accesorios que se necesitan para que los equipos queden bien instalados\u201d<\/strong>, mencion\u00f3 Campillo.<\/p>\n

En el workshop tambi\u00e9n participaron especialistas de pa\u00edses como Corea del Norte, Ecuador, Mongolia, Nigeria, Indonesia, Bangladesh y Sri Lanka. Durante la estad\u00eda la empresa organiz\u00f3 diferentes actividades, tanto profesionales como tur\u00edsticas, para que los asistentes pudieran crear redes entre s\u00ed. \u201cEsta empresa considera la relaci\u00f3n intercultural entre los diferentes asistentes, la capacitaci\u00f3n propiamente tal y tambi\u00e9n llevarlos a conocer lugares del pa\u00eds; de esta manera generamos una gran cantidad de contactos en diversos contextos\u201d<\/strong>, indic\u00f3 Arteaga.<\/p>\n

La carrera de Ingenier\u00eda Civil en Telecomunicaciones env\u00eda anualmente una delegaci\u00f3n a participar de esta actividad, esto en el marco de uno de los convenios bilaterales firmados durante el a\u00f1o 2017 por la entonces Presidenta Michelle Bachelet, para la creaci\u00f3n de un centro conjunto de investigaci\u00f3n en tecnolog\u00edas de la informaci\u00f3n entre la Universidad de Concepci\u00f3n, el Instituto Tecnol\u00f3gico de Harbin, HIT; y la empresa de telecomunicaciones China Information and Communication Technology (CICT).<\/p>\n
