El acad\u00e9mico del Departamento de Ingenier\u00eda Inform\u00e1tica<\/a>, Zheng Li<\/a>, recibi\u00f3 el premio \u201cIEEE Systems Journal Best Paper Award\u201d durante el IEEE Systems Council Award Ceremony<\/a> en Edimburgo (UK).<\/p>\n

\u201cExiste un journal<\/em> de la IEEE que selecciona art\u00edculos particularmente relevantes para ser premiados en sus conferencias (\u2026) una de estas conferencias es en estados unidos y otra en el reino unido. En esta \u00faltima fue donde premiaron uno de mis art\u00edculos\u201d declar\u00f3 el docente.<\/p>\n

Respecto al contenido del art\u00edculo, el profesor del DIICC especific\u00f3 que se trat\u00f3 de un trabajo publicado el a\u00f1o pasado, en colaboraci\u00f3n con colegas australianos, que habla sobre las caracter\u00edsticas de la nube Nectar (Nectar Cloud<\/em>),<\/a> una plataforma de cooperaci\u00f3n que permite a la comunidad investigadora almacenar, acceder y ejecutar datos de forma remota, r\u00e1pida y aut\u00f3noma: \u201cLo que puedo destacar es que realizamos la caracterizaci\u00f3n sobre datos de incertidumbre dentro de la nube. Para trabajar en ella y para configurar servicios, lo primero que se debe hacer una evaluaci\u00f3n de rendimiento de distintas aplicaciones. Adem\u00e1s, una contribuci\u00f3n importante de este trabajo es la metodolog\u00eda que utilizamos para evaluar el rendimiento de un entorno en nube, la cual puede ser utilizada en otros contextos por otros investigadores\u201d.<\/p>\n
