Fuente: periodista Jeannette Valenzuela de Panorama UdeC<\/em><\/p>\n 80 alumnos del curso de innovaci\u00f3n que dicta el acad\u00e9mico Pablo Catal\u00e1n se organizaron en 17 equipos para postular a la competencia internacional Augmented democracy<\/a> (Democracia aumentada), iniciativa impulsada por el f\u00edsico chileno y jefe del Instituto de Inteligencia Natural y Artificial de Toulouse, Dr. C\u00e9sar Hidalgo.<\/p>\n De esos 17, ocho fueron seleccionados y finalmente, iVote<\/strong> \u2014de Pablo Campos, Alan Ram\u00edrez, Gonzalo Saavedra, Mat\u00edas Uribe y Lissette Valladares\u2014 y Visi\u00f3n Ind\u00edgena<\/strong> \u2014de Cristian Araya, David Bubniak, Kevin San Mart\u00edn y Francisco V\u00e9jar\u2014 ganaron en la categor\u00eda grupal.<\/p>\n La democracia aumentada se basa en el uso de \u201cgemelos digitales\u201d \u2014una representaci\u00f3n virtual de las personas, a trav\u00e9s de un gemelo digital, un agente de software o un avatar\u2014 para expandir las posibilidades de participaci\u00f3n en espacios de decisi\u00f3n democr\u00e1tica.<\/p>\n Durante el primer semestre, el profesor Catal\u00e1n del Departamento de Ingenier\u00eda Industrial estuvo trabajando con los alumnos y alumnas de quinto a\u00f1o, apoyado por los ingenieros industriales Carlos Naverrete y Felipe Figueroa, especialistas en complejidad y en Big Data.<\/p>\n
