\nDurante el a\u00f1o 2018, Chile fue testigo del colapso de los puentes Cancura (22 de junio ) y Nahuelpan (11 de agosto), los que se sumados a otros puentes colapsados en a\u00f1os recientes, como Loncomilla (2004), Ventisquero (2017), y los puentes ferroviarios Caut\u00edn (2018) y Tolt\u00e9n (2017), sin duda, se genera una urgente necesidad de monitoreo de las estructuras.<\/p>\n

Para aportar a una mejor toma de decisiones del Ministerio de Obras P\u00fablicas, es que investigadores de la FI UdeC postularon y fueron ganadores del\u00a0FONDEF IT18I0112 Plataforma de Monitoreo Estructural de Puentes.<\/strong><\/p>\n
