Hugo Salamanca, Ingeniero Civil El\u00e9ctrico UdeC<\/strong>, fundador de High Service Corp<\/a>, ha dado un nuevo impulso a la rob\u00f3tica en Chile. Se trata de EMMR (External Mill Maintenance Robot),<\/strong><\/a> el primer sistema totalmente automatizado del mundo que ejecuta el cambio de revestimientos en molinos semiaut\u00f3geno (SAG) y molinos de bolas a una velocidad nunca antes alcanzada, con altos est\u00e1ndares de calidad, eficiencia y seguridad en la operaci\u00f3n, sin intervenci\u00f3n humana.<\/p>\n

Este equipo, \u00fanico en el mundo, responde a uno de los mayores desaf\u00edos tecnol\u00f3gicos de la industria minera, por lo que a la ceremonia efectuada el 5 de septiembre en la planta de San Bernardo, asisti\u00f3 el Ministro de Miner\u00eda Baldo Prokurica, y m\u00e1s de 40 ejecutivos de compa\u00f1\u00edas de miner\u00eda e ingenier\u00eda de Chile y Per\u00fa.<\/p>\n

Este lanzamiento oficial fue acompa\u00f1ado tambi\u00e9n por una firma de convenio con la Universidad de Concepci\u00f3n, alma mater de Hugo Salamanca y de varios otros profesionales que trabajan en la compa\u00f1\u00eda, alianza que fue firmada por el Rector Carlos Saavedra y Luis Mor\u00e1n, Decano de la FI UdeC.<\/p>\n

Este convenio se enmarca en un trabajo de colaboraci\u00f3n entre ambas entidades que implica desde pr\u00e1cticas profesionales, desarrollo de tesis hasta el intercambio de experiencias de profesionales de High Service Corp con estudiantes y docentes de la UdeC.<\/p>\n

El Rector Saavedra destac\u00f3 que tanto el convenio como el lanzamiento de tecnolog\u00eda de punta desarrollada en Chile -y liderada por un exalumno UdeC- genera orgullos m\u00faltiples, ya que concuerda con la l\u00ednea de desarrollo de futuro que busca la instituci\u00f3n. Sobre el convenio en espec\u00edfico, la m\u00e1xima autoridad UdeC, se\u00f1al\u00f3 que lo que se busca es que este tipo de empresas \u201csean los precursores del trabajo hacia el Parque Cient\u00edfico y Tecnol\u00f3gico, con laboratorios de experimentaci\u00f3n que sean capaces de desarrollar soluciones que se exporten al mundo\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n

En esa misma l\u00ednea, Hugo Salamanca, quien fue destacado este 2019 con el \u201cPremio al Emprendedor e Innovador FI UdeC<\/a>\u201d, destac\u00f3 que es \u201cmuy importante para la compa\u00f1\u00eda tener este tremendo respaldo de la Universidad, porque nuestra misi\u00f3n y meta es realmente marcar liderazgo a nivel global\u201d<\/strong>. De igual forma dijo que esto demuestra que la capacidad del profesional chileno, \u201cy particularmente la experiencia que tenemos en la Universidad de Concepci\u00f3n. Tiene el nivel absoluto para desarrollar estos grandes desaf\u00edos que es la aplicaci\u00f3n de la tecnolog\u00eda rob\u00f3tica en la miner\u00eda y en distintos procesos productivos\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Por su parte, Luis Mor\u00e1n coment\u00f3 que este tipo de convenios es una muy buena oportunidad para potenciar una asociatividad, capaz de generar nuevo conocimiento en el \u00e1rea de procesos mineros y ser un aporte a lo que ya realiza la FI UdeC en temas como control autom\u00e1tico, inteligencia artificial y ciencia de datos. \u201cLo m\u00e1s importante es que nuestros alumnos vayan a la compa\u00f1\u00eda y puedan ver lo que se puede hacer en Chile, yo creo que ese es el primer paso. El segundo paso es poder apoyar en la formaci\u00f3n de los nuevos ingenieros que entren a trabajar en este tipo de empresas\u201d,<\/strong> se\u00f1al\u00f3 el Decano. En cuanto al liderazgo tecnol\u00f3gico alcanzado por la compa\u00f1\u00eda liderada por el exalumno Hugo Salamanca, Luis Mor\u00e1n se\u00f1al\u00f3 que \u201ces el mejor ejemplo para decir que cuando uno cree en sus proyectos, se puede. Hugo fue exalumno nuestro, fue profesor nuestro y despu\u00e9s se fue a la industria y est\u00e1 donde est\u00e1 gracias a la formaci\u00f3n que recibi\u00f3 en la Universidad y tambi\u00e9n gracias a su tremendo empe\u00f1o y a su tremenda visi\u00f3n. Yo creo que es el ejemplo que nuestros estudiantes deben seguir\u201d<\/strong>, finaliz\u00f3.<\/p>\n
