Con la participaci\u00f3n de alumnos de distintos colegios de la regi\u00f3n del Biob\u00edo, estudiantes de Ingenier\u00eda Civil Qu\u00edmica realizaron la primera casa abierta, el pasado martes 13 de agosto en el Edificio Gustavo Pizarro.<\/strong><\/p>\n

El objetivo de la iniciativa \u2013apoyada por el ahora Jefe de Carrera, Miguel Pereira- fue dar conocer la carrera de Ingenier\u00eda Civil Qu\u00edmica, adem\u00e1s de difundir el trabajo cient\u00edfico y de investigaci\u00f3n que se realiza en el DIQ, as\u00ed lo indic\u00f3 Fernanda Zambrano, alumna de sexto a\u00f1o a cargo de la gesti\u00f3n y coordinaci\u00f3n de la actividad.<\/p>\n

\u201cQuisimos darle m\u00e1s visibilidad al departamento, adem\u00e1s de brindarles informaci\u00f3n a estos chicos que prontamente se afrontan a una importante decisi\u00f3n, y sobre todo para quienes escojan ingresar a esta carrera, lo hagan con una motivaci\u00f3n distinta, con conocimiento de las opciones que manejan y que puedan orientar sus estudios en funci\u00f3n de sus preferencias\u201d, expres\u00f3 Fernanda.<\/p>\n

La jornada de la ma\u00f1ana comenz\u00f3 con un discurso de bienvenida de la acad\u00e9mica Marlene Roeckel y a continuaci\u00f3n el docente Alejandro Karelovic les present\u00f3 la malla curricular. Posteriormente, Carlos Tippman inform\u00f3 a los estudiantes sobre lo que hace un ingeniero qu\u00edmico. Luego los alumnos recibieron un tour por la Facultad de Ingenier\u00eda, para finalmente pasar a ciclos de charlas por \u00e1reas de investigaci\u00f3n. Durante la tarde visitaron los diferentes laboratorios del DIQ, pudiendo conocer los procesos que se realizan en cada uno de ellos.<\/p>\n

El grupo de estudiantes organizador de la actividad, integrado por Fernanda Freire, Carolina Freire, Mat\u00edas Gatica, Carolina Araya, Carla Araya, Daniel Salamanca, Camila Osorio y Gregory Albornoz, pudo con esta experiencia, poner en pr\u00e1ctica sus habilidades conductuales, de planificaci\u00f3n, organizaci\u00f3n y trabajo en equipo.<\/p>\n

Finalmente, Fernanda respondi\u00f3 con respecto a la proyecci\u00f3n de esta actividad, \u201cesperamos que se siga realizando, ojal\u00e1 pudiese ser implementado por las otras carreras y que fuese m\u00e1s abierto, no necesariamente a los chicos de ense\u00f1anza media, sino que sea una actividad de difusi\u00f3n de la ciencia a la comunidad en general\u201d.<\/p>\n

Cabe mencionar que los estudiantes asistentes proven\u00edan de los colegios Salesianos, San Agust\u00edn, San Ignacio, Colegio Concepci\u00f3n San Pedro, Liceo Alem\u00e1n de Los \u00c1ngeles y Liceo H\u00e9roes de la Concepci\u00f3n de Laja, y que cooperaron tambi\u00e9n el d\u00eda de la Casa Abierta estudiantes del Centro de Alumnos de Ingenier\u00eda Qu\u00edmica junto a los delegados de extensi\u00f3n de la carrera.<\/p>\n
