El Decano de la Facultad de Ingenier\u00eda, Luis Mor\u00e1n Tamayo, se\u00f1al\u00f3 que esta actividad, tambi\u00e9n corresponde a una visita protocolar de la autoridad china. \u201cNosotros llevamos un par de a\u00f1os trabajando con la Embajada de China, de tal manera de firmar convenios de colaboraci\u00f3n con distintas universidades y empresas del pa\u00eds, tanto en el \u00e1rea de telecomunicaciones como en miner\u00eda. China es uno de los principales socios comerciales del pa\u00eds, por lo que mantener una relaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s estrecha del punto de vista acad\u00e9mico e investigativo para la Universidad de Concepci\u00f3n, especialmente para nuestra facultad, es muy importante\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sobre qu\u00e9 conllevan los convenios de colaboraci\u00f3n, el Dr. Jorge Pezoa, profesor de Ingenier\u00eda Civil en Telecomunicaciones,\u00a0 indic\u00f3 que actualmente existen iniciativas que se est\u00e1n trabajando con empresas del gigante asi\u00e1tico, entre ellos, el desarrollo de un laboratorio conjunto de tecnolog\u00edas de informaci\u00f3n y comunicaci\u00f3n. \u201cEste proyecto lo estamos desarrollando con el Instituto Tecnol\u00f3gico de Harbin y la compa\u00f1\u00eda estatal China Information and Communication Technology Group, la cual tienen presencia en Chile a trav\u00e9s de la empresa Fiberhome, y lo que buscamos es desarrollar soluciones de tecnolog\u00edas de la informaci\u00f3n y comunicaci\u00f3n para las industrias tanto chinas como chilenas\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Luego de la visita a los laboratorios de la facultad, la Primera Secretaria, coment\u00f3 estar muy impresionada al ver \u201ctodos los avances en ciencia y tecnolog\u00eda. Luego de escuchar el discurso del rector en la celebraci\u00f3n del centenario, qued\u00e9 muy impresionada con la contribuci\u00f3n que ha hecho la universidad\u201d<\/strong>, a\u00f1adi\u00f3 LI Xiaoxian.<\/p>\n

Cabe destacar, que adem\u00e1s de visitar los laboratorios de la carrera, la autoridad tambi\u00e9n fue testigo de los avances del Departamento de Ingenier\u00eda Metal\u00fargica de la facultad, el cual est\u00e1 desarrollando junto a la empresa china Dongying Fangyua el Centro de Futuras Tecnolog\u00edas del Cobre. En tanto, en los pr\u00f3ximos meses al Departamento de Ingenier\u00eda El\u00e9ctrica, arribar\u00e1 equipamiento 4g y 5g para el desarrollo de aplicaciones para ciudades inteligentes y agricultura inteligente e instalar el pr\u00f3ximo laboratorio de telecomunicaciones.<\/p>\n
